The St George Saints are an integral part of the local St George population, which covers two local Council areas: Georges River Council and Bayside Council. We have a history of over 40 years of giving back to the local community, and over the years have provided thousands of local youth the opportunity to play basketball and develop both their basketball skills and build their character.

Are you a confident speaker who knows their basketball and isn’t afraid to get a little energetic? Do you know how to get a crowd excited and lift the energy for a home court advantage?

Then have we got a job for you!

We’re looking for a new MC for our Senior Saturday games in the Spalding Waratah League this season! (Admittedly, there’s some Sundays too, but it’s mainly Saturday nights) This is a paid role, and we want someone who’s passionate about basketball and enjoys talking to people and getting a great atmosphere going!

Given how many different nationalities and cultures we celebrate at St George (last year’s Youth Men had ELEVEN), you get bonus points if you can correctly pronounce our (and our opponents) player names for introductions and commentary.

If this sounds like you, contact George via treasurer@sgba.com.au and apply today!

Ford Aussie Hoops is a national program that introduces children to basketball in a structured and accredited environment at the grassroots through to elite levels. The Ford Dealer Network’s sponsorship of the Seven Consulting Australian Opals was announced earlier this year, in June.

The multi-year deal will see the Ford logo feature prominently on the Opals, Boomers and Ford Aussie Hoops jerseys.

The Ford Dealer Network has always played an indispensable role in helping customers in their communities achieve their dreams, whether that’s at work, adventure or play. With the partnership with Basketball Australia, the Ford Dealer Network will have an opportunity to ramp up its support at a grassroots level, as aspiring basketball players continue their journey towards sporting excellence.
